Never! Once you’ve invested in permanent storage, it’s yours to use at any time. Your storage won't expire; it only decreases when you decide to upload to your permanent vaults.

Your permanent storage, including any airdropped storage, remains intact regardless of subscription status.

However, the same can't be said for cloud storage. If you stop paying for your subscription, your data in cloud storage will be deleted. If you wish to downgrade, you’ll need to bring your cloud storage usage in line with the newer limits allowed in that plan.

It depends on your specific needs. If you're an individual user or just exploring, our Rock plan is a great starting point to get familiar with Akord's features. For teams or those requiring more storage and features, consider our Team or Enterprise plans. We always recommend reviewing the detailed benefits of each plan on our pricing page, or contacting our support team for personalised guidance based on your requirements. Remember, you can always upgrade or adjust your plan as your needs evolve.

That's precisely where our Diamond plan comes in. We offer custom solutions specifically tailored to meet your unique requirements. If you have particular needs or features in mind, don't hesitate to contact us or join our Discord community. The Diamond plan doesn’t necessarily mean it will be more expensive – we’re always happy to consider tailoring a solution that works for you.

Your permanent data is securely stored on Arweave. For cloud storage, we use AWS.

We still send the metadata for our cloud storage vaults to Arweave. For example, while your files are stored in the cloud all the information around when they were uploaded, when invites to the vault were sent, folders created, the time messages were sent, etc, all this metadata is stored on-chain, giving your cloud vaults an immutable timeline of events.

To monitor your storage usage, open the Akord app and select “Storage” from your dashboard. This section provides a comprehensive overview of both your permanent permanent storage and your cloud storage.

You can top up your permanent storage allowance from within this part of the app.

Akord currently supports fiat payments via an integration with Stripe payments.

Of course! Simply navigate to your dashboard and select "Account." Within that section, you'll find "Plans and Payments." This area allows you to switch plans, review past invoices, and manage your billing and payment information seamlessly.
